dude. dude dude dude i literally never put songs on repeat, but butterfly effect is so ??? it makes me ascend, it makes me feel like flying it is SO good !! you can hear sophie holohan smiling as she sings this, and that makes me feel so good when i listen. also of course i heejayified this song for myself so there's an extra factor of attachment there (what's heeseung to jay? life's turning point - WHAT !)

a couple of my top songs were just from me looping my sunwon playlist on repeat while i was writing. sugar in a bowl is sooo simple yet so incredibly sweet. i can't believe omam won their first competition with this banger in 2011, and then locked it in a vault for a decade! actual criminal behavior TT i'm just glad i can blast it in my ear holes now

also i always seem to come upon svt's comebacks months late which is so embarrassing bc i could have been headbanging to rock with you so much earlier!! this is by far my fave title track by them it's just a great blend of light-hearted but also intense yearning, it's quite sentimental ("i just want to love you")

i discovered soldier, poet, king and then proceeded to listen to the entirety of dear wormwood in the literal tail end of the month but. i. am. obsessed. say what you will i am just a little whore for folk music that makes me want to tap dance on the top of pub tables

i was excited to watch this bc of the intriguing space premise + its decked out cast, but it turned out so .. flaccid? minor spoilers but yea i’m a bit bored of the ‘the government is hiding something from us and are sending us on a death mission to fulfill their own agenda’ because, yes, but also, boring. idk man, it never gave me enough to care about anyone (jian’s sister’s plot was. certainly a plot.) i think my favorite part was probably the set design + cg models for the moon, because THAT was absolutely stunning

2. how to with john wilson (complete) ★★★★★
i. am absolutely enamored with this show T___T it perfectly feeds into my niche of slightly boring, extremely human content that still manages to be hilarious and poignant T______T

tl;dr this dude (john wilson) is a documentarian and he’s collected years worth of random footage he’s taken of people and things on the street, primarily in nyc, and he reconfigured the footage to fit the narrative of the show, where he attempts to answer seemingly simple ‘how to’ questions - but he usually falls into a rabbit hole of something else entirely. it’s SO good please believe me !! it’s also fun recognizing bits of the city in his footage <3

i simply can't stop gushing about this show because the interviews that john conducts with these random people (i'm pretty sure) are 100% real and you can get this feel of how strange and weird their experiences might be..but it's also so incredibly HUMAN because we all have our weird little interests TT and if you've seen the season 2 finale with the avatar group.. iykyk T___T

3. our beloved summer (in progress)
still slowly making my way through this show. it’s really fun! i’m just slow. i’m still obsessed with yeonsu and ung’s dynamic it’s actually soo intriguing i love it (i’ve seen spoilers on tiktok TT but it just makes me want to watch it more haha)

4. all of us are dead (in progress)
i don’t know how i feel about this show yet, but it definitely grabs your attention. the only character i cared about died ;p so there’s that uhh yeah most of these characters are actually insufferable so i would love to see them all meet their maker <3 the main dude is the same main dude of ‘everything and nothing’ - which i couldn’t finish because i was so BORED (i wanted to finish it for you sieun, i really did) and. broski has terrible blank face syndrome ,, horrific murder happens in front of him? him: O_O sighh

i only watched the first episode but i already love love it lol i can see why it’s as loved as it is

guys… guys….. i don’t know what to say about this film that isn’t just a garbled mess of tears but. it’s just so good T^T the almost euphoric whirlwind of the creative process that's starkly contrasted with the reality of hardly making ends meet and sacrificing both your relationships and your youth for something that might just be a pipe dream ahahahh wow i’m not okay. this is my first time seeing andrew garfield act and wow he can act and WOW he can sing. the amount of spotlight vanessa hudgen's character had confused me but therapy was great so i'm not mad about it

2. going in style ★★★★★
THIS MOVIE WAS SO GOOD !! i have no idea why it has like a 50% on rotten tomatoes the critics are wrong they’re so horrendously wrong. it’s about 3 old dudes who’ve had their pensions slashed, so their obvious solution to this is to rob a bank! yes, that’s right, it’s a heist movie starring grandpas !!!!!!!! if that doesn’t entice you i don’t know what will. it’s soso funny and maybe a little bit (a lot a bit) heartwrenching

most of this month has been spent writing sun-kissed, and i’m sorry to any tls i’ve flooded with me posting wips/complaining about writing this. i went from a terrible 5k draft to currently 21k of something i’m kind of proud of :’)) i’m going through some character development or whatever haha i'm trying to have fun and just use this story as a lighthearted therapy session </3 also sunwon are just very cute

that was a mouthful but yes. i started writing this when i combined this one offhand snippet i wrote in my notes x the idea that jay accidentally murders injang sooo yeah!

jungwon who's younger but stronger protecting the older but more precious jay is something so personal sometimes.. i currently don't plan on making this fic super serious bc it's meant to be more fun and lighthearted but. this dynamic just CALLS for some intense yearning or angst or something, so that's still up in the air hehehehh

tbh i'm writing this here as a note to myself but i want to write jungwon as a graveyard shift 7 eleven employee who only sees jay when he comes in at ungodly hours for food to fuel his all nighters.. and they fall in love one (unauthorized) free slurpee at a time. this is modern romance to me

how are we feeling out there, tonight?

this month went by in a blur bc i was on break for the entire month but also? it kind of went by slowly which i didn't mind. i hung out with some high school friends for the first time in 2 years and the vibes were so immaculate T___T by the time i'm writing this i've finished my first week of classes and they all seem good and my profs are all chill which makes me feel lil optimistic </3 i talked to/reached out to a handful of people at school which like, wiped out my social battery but i haven't felt so fulfilled in so long. social interaction!! it works wonders every time

gonna slap this here hidden in the end bc you won't catch me being vulnerable on the tl lol but i !! love enha rps/writing twt so much T___T everyone is so kind and funny and supportive and AGH i love my moots, interacting with them all is truly such a highlight of my day <33 like babes...my social media anxiety was so bad that i was too scared to comment on fics until the end of last november. now i (kind of) write fics and i physically cannot shut up on twitter anymore! is this good character development? only time will tell, but it's character development nonetheless
