spotify wrapped came out today LOL and seventeen was my most listened to artist ?!?!? i was only in the top 2% which is boooooring but hey i didn't expect it to be them so ! there's that. i'm honestly shocked that darl+ing Wasn't my most listened to track of 2022 but apparently i sealed my fate on fucking JANUARY 25TH LMAO (butterfly effect - sophie holohan <3) 

i have started working on a new wip so once again several songs in my top 10 (1, 2, 5) are from that working playlist :^) i don't really think anyone looks at my dreamwidth but if u do can u guess which enha pairing it is based on the songs :^) heh 

i just need to make this known since she doesn't show up on my top anythings this month but JO YURIIIIIII i love her music i love her voice it's all so me core

also. Also. apparently november was the month of me suddenly liking songs that i didn't like before. every time i explicitly say that i don't like a song, i end up either liking or loving it quickly therefore (past examples: zimzalabim, dalla dalla, wannabe, o.o) and . that has not changed. and it happened multiple times this month, in this order:

1. hot - i got into svt during their hot era but i didn't actually really care for hot that much . and then. and then idek i got obsessed with the mv and subsequently got obsessed with the song
2. savage - i listened to this song in full for the first time AND THE ENDINGGG IT'S EUPHORIC like naevis i love u
3. panorama - okay it's not like i disliked panorama but i just never actually listened to it beyond that tiktok trend of doing the wonyoung walk to the back during the chorus. BUT OH M YGOD. THIS SONG IS SOOOO GOOD chaeyeon's 2nd verse, yena's prechorus, the chaewon Everything (speaking of which... i might be getting into iz*one 1.5 years after their disbandment which is........... L)
4. loco (eng ver) - i still don't Like loco but the english version... Yeji......... sos for this kitty SOS FOR THIS KITTY!! plus her last chorus is so fucking good like she sang differently in the booth for this one 

also i've very sparsely listened to hippo campus over the years but one day i randomly decided to listen thru their latest album and i fell in looooove. they're hosting a concert in my city the day after my bday next year so :') i might go heheh

crying i really did not watch as many things as i wanted to this month but hopefully once finals are over in december, i will get a change to binge watch things again!!

i literally just finished this an hour ago so i might be biased by the recency of it all but god i love this show. it's so similar to fleabag in that it just drops you in the middle of these kids' lives, and despite how they joke around and can't seem to stay serious for too long, it's obvious that there's a very deep undercurrent of grief underlying everything they do and. it's so heartbreaking it's so heartwrenching. i watched their interview with jimmy fallon and when paulina alexis said "they wanted rez kids, they got rez kids" I TEARED THE FUCK UP. i can't wait to start s2

2. le sserafim documentary - the world is my oyster ★★★★ (finished)
fr props to the editing team for how well they edited garam out like i'm sure the try guy's editing team took inspo from them. anyway. such a fascinating insight into the formation of the group, especially one so.. scrapped together is not the phrase i want but everyone was really thrown into the thick of it together!! especially kazuha. i could watch a whole separate doc about her journey into kpop idolisms tbh. also shout out to park soyeon she seems like such a good choreographer/instructor for them

3. spy x family (s1 pt. 2) ★★★★★ (ongoing)
i love this show i look forward to it every sunday. this played in the bg all during when my friends came over for friendsgiving and it was great

yeah they're very clearly departing from the books atp which is. Fine. (i say through gritted teeth bc i loved the books growing up and now they're just inserting character names here and there) i wasn't a huge fan of the editing this movie? the constant flashbacks/voiceovers of things we'd heard like. 5 min ago got annoying ngl. and once again i feel like the feminism was so.. heavy handed. idk if i'd call it pandering but like damn.

I LOVE CATS this was 67 amazing minutes of heaven

3. olympus has fallen ★
LMFAOOOOOOOOOO oh my god this movie was so BAD. we watched it in class and i literally couldn't stop laughing out of pure shock. like. the american propaganda goes INSANEEE the yellow perilisms go INSANEEE like we have this ex-secret service agent who is somehow the Only One to make it into the white house despite the literal daenerys targaryen-esque massacre that north koreans committed and he manages to stop an atomic nuke from exploding with 1 sec to spare... like spare ME this was so bad. also the violence got so gratuitous which i am never a fan of

1. the seven husbands of evelyn hugo - taylor jenkins reid ★★★★★
it's such a hunky book but it sped by sooooo quickly wow like. when i first read the description i didn't think i'd like it which is so funny of me to think bc i love reading the wikis of classic hollywood stars . and i always beeline to their personal life sections . this book was literally catered towards me. i found monique very.. grating LOL so i'm glad the book was mostly about evelyn! also that plot twist in the literal last 20 pages went CRAZYYY

2. narrative of the life of frederick douglass, an american slave - frederick douglass ★★★★★
i had to read this for class but wah yeah it's such an essential read, i'm surprised i was never assigned to read it in hs or something. very accessible to read which only made all the brutality of slavery described so much more awful and visceral

i'm horrible about saying anything about myself or what i'm doing on my main LOL but in my eyes it's pretty obvious what this is!! but i'd still also like to keep the illusion of mystery bc i want people to recognize my writing by the writing alone :3 i've kind of somewhat finally settled on a solid Idea/framework for this wip which makes me v happy bc i've nearly given up on it 20 times in the last 2 weeks but. i think i can make it work. i don't have too much written but at this current moment it's giving me a 10k length kinda vibe 😎

i made an ao3 draft of this for instant gratification and at 2am a few days ago i decided i wanted to change the wording of the summary (aka All I Have Written) AND I ACCIDENTALLY POSTED IT.. the panic with which i deleted it omfg. anyway yeah i have nothing in my head for this yet but i think writing a canon purinz fic would be so cute.

what even happened this month.. the colder weather x shorter days x beginnings of finals crunch x work x my hatred for public transportation has had me in a chokehold lol man. when you skip class so you can catch up on work but you end up sleeping bc you're exhausted and so u fuck up your sleep schedule while also feeling too out of it to actually catch up on work. basically me the last 2 weeks LOL

but otherwise!! i've hung out + gotten lunch with my fave coworkers a bunch of times hehe they're such foodies and they're really converting me bc i tend to stick to the things ik i already like but.. there's such a big world of food out there ! one of my middle school friends came back to the city for thanksgiving break and i hung out with her for the first time in over a year. i was really worried that it would be awkward but it was so much fun catching up :D so weird to see how we've each grown up since we didn't really do that Together but yknow. simply parallel. also i hosted friendsgiving at my house and it was so fun :')) it really revived my soul tbh. i love my friends so much
